Dato' Mohamad Amin bin Md Hashim
Dato’ Mohamad Amin is the Founder and Managing Partner of Amin-Tan & Co. He was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 1976. His experience is primarily in Real Estate and Commercial Transactions and Banking & Finance.
Dato’ Mohamad Amin holds an LL.B (Hons) from University of Malaya (1976), and an M.A. (Business Management) from Leeds University, United Kingdom. After graduating from Leeds (1981), he was seconded to the Bank of England by Bank Negara Malaysia to study the Central Banking System. Dato’ Mohamad Amin was with Bank Negara Malaysia for 8 years. While in Bank Negara Malaysia, he was exposed to central banking work in the area of banking supervisions and human resources. He was also involved in the drafting of the first Securities Industry Act 1983.
Nor’Arifah ‘Izzati binti A Aziz
Arifah obtained her LL.B (Hons) law degree from University of Malaya in 2014 and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in the year 2015. She joined Amin-Tan & Co. in the same year of being admitted to the Bar and became a partner in 2017.
In her years of practice, Arifah has been accorded the privilege to deal with legal matters stretching over the field of contentious to non-contentious in Civil and Banking Litigation. She has also gained experience in various areas of law including but not limited to Probate and Administration, Employment Law and Insolvency and Receivership.
NurulSabariah binti Mohd
NurulSabariah is currently the head of the Conveyancing Department. She joined Amin-Tan & Co. in 2015 and joined as one of the partners in 2017.
Nurul was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2010. In her years of practice, she handles and advises mainly on real estate and conveyancing matters, be it for acquisition or disposal of industrial, commercial or residential properties. She is also responsible for other conveyancing matters such as tenancies and loan documentations for various
commercial banks, government regulatory bodies such as Bank Negara Malaysia, Cagamas Berhad, AIA Berhad, Maybank and CIMB.
‘Ammar bin Ghalip
‘Ammar has been in practice since August 2014. He joined Messrs Bhag Sulaiman & Co. for 4 years. He joined Amin-Tan & Co. in the Litigation Department in November 2017. He graduated with an LL.B (Hons) law degree from Interntional Islamic University Of Malaysia in 2013 and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2014.
‘Ammar’s areas of practice are mainly in General Litigation
including Defamation suits, Arbitrations & Dispute Resolutions, Land Acquisition & Trespass, Industrial Relations,
Accidents and Bankruptcy & Insolvency Law. He has also
conducted matters related to criminal cases.
Hidzir Bin Yahya
Hidzir joined Amin-Tan & Co. in 2018 as a member of the Conveyancing Department. He obtained his LL.B (Hons) from University Malaya in 1977. In 1982, Hidzir was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya. Hidzir also successfully completed his Diploma in Shariah Law and Practices from International Islamic University Malaysia in 1990. His area of expertise includes Islamic banking, banking regulation, and anti-money laundering laws.
Nur Afiqah Binti Azni
Afiqah obtained her Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of Utara Malaysia in 2017. She was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in June 2018. Having completed her pupillage in Messrs Zain Megat & Murad and upon admission to the Malaysian Bar, she began her practice in Messrs Nicky Chen & Partners as an Associate in 2018, focusing on general litigation and banking litigation matters.
Manreet Kaur A/P Gurcharan Singh
After completion her Degree in Law at Multimedia University in Melaka, Manreet joined Messrs Viknes Ratna & Co as a Paralegal, where she gained exposure to accident matters. Subsequently, she began her pupillage at Messrs. Rasvin Sodhi & Co in 2022. During her pupillage, she delved into various legal areas, including Conveyancing, Employment, Industrial Relations, Family Law, Summary Judgments and as well as proceedings in Civil and Criminal Litigation.
Faeq Bin Fuad
Faeq graduated with honours from the National University of Malaysia in 2021. After completing his pupillage focusing in Criminal and General Civil Litigation at Messrs. Yusof Rahmat & Co., he was admitted to the High Court of Malaya in 2022. Since September 2022, Faeq practiced law at Messrs. Razmien & Co., specializing in Criminal and General Civil Litigation.
In addition to his legal practice, Faeq actively participates in pro bono work as a Yayasan Bantuan Guaman Kebangsaan (YBGK) lawyer and serves as a panel lawyer for the Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (SUHAKAM). These roles allow him to contribute positively to society, particularly in advocating for the rights of the underprivileged.
